Description
The Rolling Stones just reissued their classic 1978 album Some Girls, the best selling album of their career, featuring songs such as Miss You, Shattered and Beast of Burden. The album cover was also a crowning achievement in their legacy. The original cover had to be pulled from the market because of the lack of legal clearances for the likenesses of Lucille Ball, Farrah Fawcett, Raquel Welch, Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe.
The original cover was issued as a limited edition lithograph in 1994 with the Rolling Stones signatures silkscreened on the bottom. The lithograph was produced with the finest paper and each was individually numbered. They have been out of print for more than a decade. These pieces originally sold for hundreds of dollars each.
